Bob Hope, President
Bob Hope is the president of Hope-Beckham, Inc. He has been in the public
relations business with senior
executive positions for 30 years. Bob was named Public Relations Director
of the Atlanta Braves at age 24
and rose to Vice President of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks and Turner
Broadcasting at age 30. He then
joined The Coca-Cola Company and became a partner in the Atlanta public
relations firm of Cohn & Wolfe.
As Cohn & Wolfe grew, it was purchased by Burson-Marsteller, the worlds
largest public relations firm.
Bob was transferred to New York to become executive
vice president of Burson. He was president of a division
of Whittle Communications before forming Hope-Beckham in 1994 with longtime
friend Paul Beckham. Bob is
active in the Atlanta community and author of two books, We Could Have
Finished Last Without You and Greater Late then Never.
Paul Beckham, Chairman
Paul Beckham is the chairman of Hope-Beckham. He was a senior officer
of Turner Broadcasting for
23 years, and rose up through the financial side of the company. Eventually,
Paul became CFO and
then president of the cable sales division prior to forming Hope-Beckham
in 1994. His accomplishments
include the organization and startup of CNN, developing the Goodwill Games
and handling a variety of
major acquisitions and other business deals for Turner. Paul serves on
the boards of several corporations
and is highly active in the area of higher education. He is chairman of
the board of trustees of Young Harris
College and also serves on the trustee board for Georgia State University.
Senior Management
Suzanne Brown, Senior
Marketing Consultant
Suzanne Brown is senior marketing consultant for Hope-Beckham. She is
a 30year veteran in marketing
and public relations for the food, beverage, financial, electric utility
and real estate industries. Her project
clients have included Fortune magazines Top 50 U.S. based national
and international companies. She is
an internationally recognized speaker and published writer for the coffee
and tea industries and has been
a correspondent to the Tea & Coffee Trade Journal for 18 years. At
HBI, Suzanne is responsible for national
and international business development. She is Immediate Past President
of the Atlanta Chapter, Les Dames
d Escoffier, an international organization of women in the culinary
arts, and is active in the Specialty Coffee
Association of America and Public Relations Society of America.
Holly Clifford, Vice President
Holly Clifford is a vice president for Hope-Beckham. Holly joined Hope-Beckham
in 1999 and is a ten-year
veteran in advertising and public relations. The native of Tampa was a
varsity volleyball star at North
Carolina State University. Prior to joining Hope-Beckham, she ran the
Sports Foundation, a contract agency
of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Convention and Visitors Bureau. Through
the Sports Foundation she organized
the NCAA Final Four, as well as numerous other national and international
sports events. At Hope-Beckham,
she has developed strategy for such diverse accounts as Andersen, The
Coca-Cola Company, Network
Communications Inc., MVP.com, priceline.com, Enterpulse, the Atlanta Sports
Council and the Technology
Association of Georgia. She is an active member of the Public Relations
Society of America.
Michael King, Vice
President
Michael King is a vice president at Hope-Beckham. Michael began his work
with the agency in 1995 handling
logistics and promotions on the road with the Colorado Silver Bullets
baseball team. His event staff has done
projects as diverse as the National Peanut Board touring exhibit , a 30-city
mall tour, spring break events for
several companies, cooking and sampling fried turkeys at college football
games. Michael has also set up press
conferences in New York and other top markets. If it can be done, Michael
will figure out how to do it. He is a native
of Long Island, New York and graduate of Towson University in Maryland.
In his spare time, he is an actor with Whole World Theater in Atlanta.
Kevin Sullivan, Vice President
Kevin Sullivan is a vice president at Hope-Beckham and has more than 20
years experience in media, marketing
and public relations. For six years he was the marketing director for
three different technology companies. An
award-winning television journalist, Kevin spent 15 years working intelevision
news. He knows public relations from
the news editor side, the corporate side and now from the agency side.
Kevin graduated from the University of Missouri
and the Poynter Institute. He is a member of the Public Relations Society
of America, the Business Marketing
Association, the Technology Association of Georgia and the Truckload Carriers
Association.
