NEW YORK -- The Ladies Professional Golf Association’s (LPGA) Fan Van rolls to its second stop on a multi-market tour this week in New York in conjunction with the Sybase Classic Presented by Lincoln Mercury. Beginning Friday, May 14, the LPGA Fan Van will visit some of The Big Apple’s most visible locations to promote the LPGA Tour, its celebrity players and the Sybase Classic Presented by Lincoln Mercury, which begins May 17.
The LPGA Fan Van will make approximately 13 stops in the New York area (see complete schedule below), starting at the ESPN Zone in Times Square on May 14. The LPGA Fan Van will be set up directly outside of the Zone from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and fans can participate in an LPGA putting challenge, where they can win prizes, receive LPGA merchandise and get putting tips and instruction from LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals. In addition, Sybase representatives will demonstrate Sybase’s WiFi capabilities on personal digital assistants (PDAs), and a Lincoln Mercury tournament car, as well as a van from ESPN Radio 1050, will be displayed alongside the LPGA Fan Van.
