ATLANTA -- Hope-Beckham, Inc., a public relations and event marketing company that prides itself in pushing its clients to the edge, is trying to show the world it doesn’t mind taking a chance with its new ad campaign.
The Atlanta agency is launching an outdoor advertising campaign in September that will feature two themes – both stating the aggressive personality of the firm and only one that is acceptable to all Atlanta outdoor media.
“Kick-Ass PR and Event Marketing” will appear on billboards and a giant tower downtown that is noted for bearing the Olympic flame. However, MARTA, the local bus company, would not allow “Kick-Ass” to appear on one of its buses. So, a wrap-around bus will bear the theme “Killer PR and Event Marketing”.
“Our business is growing, despite the tough economic times, and we simply decided to try to pour it on a little while we’re hot,” said Bob Hope, president of Hope-Beckham. “Our impression is that clients are hiring us now because they know we are aggressive and will push them hard. That is the point we are trying to get across in the ads. One is on one side of the line, and the other steps just over the line – taking it right to the edge.”
Hope-Beckham is the second largest independent public relations firm in the South and one of the top ten of all agencies in Atlanta. It is the second largest Atlanta based agency.
“A lot of firms are hired because they are viewed as the ‘safe choice’ by middle management making the decision to hire them,” said Hope. “We don’t want to be that safe choice. We want clients to know that we will bring some excitement and spirit to their businesses.”
