GENERATING PRESS AT HOME AND BEYOND
Situation:
Aaron’s Inc., a publicly-traded, Atlanta-based company, wanted to heighten its general awareness on both the local and national levels. In particular, the company wanted to communicate its success (amid the recession) to the business press while targeting consumer press to combat the negative perception often associated with the lease-to-own industry. There were two facets of the business Aaron’s sought to promote – corporate and local marketing initiatives.
Approach:
For the corporate business, Hope-Beckham Inc. coordinated introduction meetings for the CEO and CFO with elite business media in NYC.

HBI continues to maintain the relationships by educating business media regarding the recent success of the company and generates positive news coverage for Aaron’s Inc. with national and local media.
For the local marketing business, HBI stays in front of the media by developing creative news angles and executing attention-grabbing events.
Results:
Since beginning the relationship with Aaron’s in Spring 2009, HBI has secured interviews and coverage with the following national media: Wall Street Journal; Forbes; Fortune; Bloomberg; Fox Business; CNN Money; Reuters and CNBC. HBI also secures regular placements in the Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
