Paul D. Beckham - Chairman


Paul D. Beckham, whose diversified professional background includes senior financial and administrative experience, television operations and programming, event and sports marketing and cable television marketing and sales, has been co-owner and chairman for Hope-Beckham Inc. since its creation in 1994.

In 1971, Beckham was employed by Turner Broadcasting System Inc., Atlanta, and retired in 1994 as president of the company’s cable sales and marketing company. During his tenure at TBS he was actively involved with the acquisition or creation of the Superstation, the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Hawks, CNN, Goodwill Games, MGM and Turner Network Television.He was elected a vice president in 1973 and ultimately served as the company’s senior financial officer.

As chairman of Hope-Beckham Inc., Beckham provides strategic business and financial leadership to the agency and its clients.

A member of the Young Harris College board of trustees since 1993, he served as its chairman from 2000 to 2008. He is a member of the board of directors for two community banks and active in various charitable and community organizations. He is a member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and has served or is serving on various committees including the administrative board, the financial committee and a host of special committees.

Beckham and his wife Cheryl reside in Atlanta. They have two children and six grandchildren.
