Garet Hayes - Senior Vice President

Garet Hayes, a senior vice president with Hope-Beckham, utilizes 20 years of public relations experience to build strong brand reputations through proactive public relations initiatives. She works with corporate and consumer clients daily to build relationships with key investor, media and customer audiences.
Before joining HBI, Hayes built the marketing department for Instawares, a national online restaurant supply company. Her prior agency experience includes leading corporate clients at Edelman and Ketchum, two global PR firms with Atlanta offices. While at Ketchum, she executed PR campaigns for Georgia’s Clean Air Force, the state’s vehicle emission testing program, and was integral in developing a Silver Anvil award-winning program for the Clean Air Campaign. Her brand marketing work with Crown Crafts targeting teens won a national award, “Selling to Kids Best Marketing Campaign.”
Hayes previously served as press secretary for Guy Millner's U.S. Senate campaign in 1996 and directed media relations at the nation's largest state-based public policy group, the Georgia Public Policy Foundation.
Hayes is past president (2007-2008) of the Business Marketing Association of Atlanta (BMA). She served as the Atlanta Addy Awards chair from 2005-2007 for the Atlanta Advertising Club, the premier creative resource for Atlanta’s advertising and creative professionals. Hayes graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in communication arts/public relations.
